Zest is going from strength to strength, with Capetonians and visitors discovering this gem of a restaurant owned and operated by Chef Pavel Dimitrov. It has a unique wood-fired grill, on which meats, fish, and most vegetables are prepared. The chefs are regularly adding new dishes to the À la Carte Menu.
We have launched new Summer Meat/Fish and Vegetarian Menus. However, they will only be available on Mondays - Thursdays.
Zest is looking forward to welcoming diners during the Festive Season, offering its À la Carte Menu on Christmas Day. Chef Pavel and his team have created a special 6 course New Years Eve Menu at R1950, which includes a welcome glass of bubbly on arrival, a magnificent meal, and live music by DJ and Saxophonist George Sax. # Roy Menzies was extremely complimentary, writing: ‘We were visiting and didn't know about Zest. It came highly recommended so we booked for 2 couples. By the time we arrived it was completely full which was amazing as it was a Monday evening! Walking in we were made to feel very welcome. The place exuded style and smartness yet was relaxed at the same time. Apparently the owner also heads up the kitchen, always a good thing. The front of house was headed up by Piero. He was charming and kept quietly in the background, yet never missed anything. Our waiter Samuel was great. Attentive but never overbearing and gave excellent advice regarding the wine choices and menu. We all were tempted by the tasting menu; 4 courses perfectly prepared and delicious. I don't recall in recent times having such a great restaurant experience and will be back when we visit again soon’.
