Zest Restaurant introduces Vegetarian Spring Menu

01.11.2021 - 30.11.2021

Zest is going from strength to strength, with Capetonians discovering this hidden gem of a restaurant owned and operated by Chef Pavel Dimitrov.  It has a unique wood-fired grill, on which meats, fish, and most vegetables are prepared. The chefs are regularly adding new dishes to the À la Carte Menu.

Zest has added a new Vegetarian Spring Menu to its repertoire, five courses costing R198, as per below. A Meat/Fish Spring Menu is also available, at the same price.

Course 1:  Wood fired roast tomatoes, ricotta, fresh basil, olives.

Course 2: Charred sweet potato, baby spinach, feta, roasted walnuts, pickled raisins.

Course 3: Wood fire charred baby marrow, lentils, tomato fondue, grated pecorino romano

Course 4: Pan sautéed portobellini mushrooms, pearl onions, confit tomato, charred broccolini stems.

Course 5: Grilled pineapple, fresh basil, star anise syrup, peanut ice cream, pumpkin and sesame powder.

Bookings can be made on the Dineplan Restaurant Reservation App.

Super friendly and on-the-ball service, interesting menu with light small plate options that are well put together using quality ingredients, cozy setting which is hard to find in the Cape Town winters 🥶, easy parking. Highly recommended. 👍👍
