To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, comprehensive, stringent health and safety measures have been implemented throughout our property. These are in accordance with the guidelines provided by the South African National Department of Health (NDoH), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), World Health Organization (WHO) and the South African Government.
The COVID-19 protocols we have implemented, include but are not limited to:
- Screening of all guests and staff on arrival – Thermal temperature screening and a guest questionnaire to be completed on arrival.
- Hand sanitisers in all public areas and in rooms for all guests to use and back of house areas for all staff to use.
- Ongoing training with staff on personal hygiene, symptoms to look out for and reemphasising the strict measures in place to prevent the spread of the disease.
- Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for all staff when on duty as required for the duties performed.
- Regular cleaning, sanitising, and disinfecting of all public areas in the hotel with SABS approved chemicals.
- Maintaining social distancing protocols with colleagues and guests
- Closely monitoring any signs and symptoms of illness and informing the hotel’s general manager
- Emergency contact Information, social distancing markers and triage protocols are clearly visible.
